Fife's 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls. The campaign runs every year from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December 2020, Human Rights Day.

Fife Violence Against Women Partnership (FVAWP) is leading the campaign here in Fife by working with partners on a 16 day social media campaign to raise awareness on violence against women and girls. FVAWP have coordinated a series of social media posts and will be sharing various thematic materials across the 16 Days.

Due to the wide range of posts needing covered in the current climate, Fife Council’s main social media platforms won’t be able to share them all, so NHS Fife and Police Scotland (Fife Division) will release a series of posts with either Fife Council, NHS or Police Scotland taking the lead each day.

To get involved in the campaign, FVAWP is encouraging Fife organisations to use this 16 Days of Activism banner on their social media platforms.

Fife Rape and Sexual Assault Centre (FRASAC) and Saje Scotland are running online events in support of the campaign, click the links below to find out more information:
