Honours of Scotland

Dear Parent/Carer

I'm delighted to report that the Rt Hon Lord Lyon King of Arms has requested that Balwearie is involved in the Service of Thanksgiving at St Giles' Cathedral on 5 July, where the King will be presented with the Honours of Scotland (Crown, Sceptre and Sword). We are one of only two schools in Scotland to be given this privilege. Our Head Boy/Girl, Lochlan Sweaton and Anna Grieve will accompany me as part of the People's Procession from Edinburgh Castle to St Giles' Cathedral and, thereafter, Lochlan will participate in presenting the King with the Honours of Scotland. Fingers crossed for decent weather on the day.
