Addition to Senior Leadership Team

Dear Parent/Carer,

I am pleased to inform you that the Education and Children's Services Directorate has agreed to my request for an additional Deputy Head Teacher for a time limited period to help the school make progress with the areas for improvement identified by Education Scotland. Consequently, Mr John Donnelly, whose substantive post is Depute Head Teacher at Glenwood High School, joined us today.

Mr Donnelly has no year group responsibility but he does have a strategic remit that involves working on the poverty related attainment gap as well as developing the young workforce. He is also a mathematics teacher and will have a teaching commitment commensurate with his role.  Pupils are being informed of his arrival during assemblies this week.
