National Young Carers Awareness Day

As you are probably already aware approximately 1 in 10 school age children and young people across Fife have a caring role, either in a primary or a secondary caring capacity. They are caring for family members with mental ill health, substance misuse, long term illnesses or disabilities.

The Young Carers Awareness Day gives us a great opportunity highlight the challenges they face and to both offer support and to encourage them to seek the support that is available in BHS & across Fife.  In BHS – Mr Carter is the Young Carers Champion and all the Guidance teams are very keen to do what they can to help.
