Apprenticeship Fair - Thursday 7th March

Get clued up on Skills for the Future at Fife Apprenticeships Fair

Careers service Skills Development Scotland (SDS) will be hosting a fantastic free event in Kirkcaldy as part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week (4-8 March).

The Apprenticeships Fair, taking place in Viewforth High School on Thursday 7 March, will give local parents, carers and young people the chance to find out more about different types of apprenticeships and who offers them.

Scottish Apprenticeship Week celebrates the achievements of Scotland’s apprentices, and all those who contribute to their success. The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Skills for the Future’, recognising the importance of investing in our workforce.

The SDS event aims to help people get a better understanding of how apprenticeships work, and to inspire local young people.

Employers from across Fife will be in attendance to talk about their work, with some current apprentices coming along to share their experiences.

The free event, which is open to those attending secondary schools in the Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes and Levenmouth areas as well as their parents or carers, will provide information on Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprenticeship opportunities and SDS careers advisers will be available to discuss the options available.

Whether you’re a parent or carer wondering what opportunities are out there for your child, or you’re thinking about what your own future holds, the SDS Apprenticeships Fair is well worth checking out.

Head along to Viewforth High School, Kirkcaldy, to find out about all of this and more from 6pm to 8pm on the Thursday.
