School Chaplains
Our school chaplains are members of the clergy from the local catchment and area. They provide a listening ear and give spiritual support to everyone throughout the school, including pupils, parents and staff. They welcome those of all faiths and none.
Our current chaplaincy team are shown below. They visit the school regularly and help lead assemblies throughout the year.

Jim Reid
I'm Jim Reid and have been Minister of Kinghorn and member of the Chaplaincy team at Balwearie High School and also of DAS for many years. I started off working life, training to be an Industrial Auctioneer, and ended up being a Church Minister in Aberdeen then Ross -shire and now in Fife. I'm also Chaplain at the "Mighty" Raith Rovers. I cook, read, walk, sing, and love rock music and go to the gym and our son Andrew attended BHS, so I know the school from both staff and pupil sides.Â
